آشنا غم سے ملا راحت سے بیگانہ ملا

دل بھی ہم کو خوبیٔ قسمت سے دیوانہ ملا

بلبل و گل شمع و پروانہ کو ہم پر رشک ہے

درد جو ہم کو ملا سب سے جدا گانہ ملا

ہم نے ساقی کو بھی دیکھا پیر مے خانہ کو بھی

کوئی بھی ان میں نہ راز آگاہ مے خانہ ملا

سب نے دامن چاک رکھا ہے بقدر احتیاج

ہم کو دیوانوں میں بھی کوئی نہ دیوانہ ملا

ہم تو خیر آشفتہ ساماں ہیں ہمارا کیا سوال

وہ تو سنوریں جن کو آئینہ ملا شانہ ملا

کیا قیامت ہے کہ اے عاجزؔ ہمیں اس دور میں

طبع شاہانہ ملی منصب فقیرانہ ملا
