خون پانی نہیں

رنگ و روغن نہیں

پھر بھی تاریخ رنگین ہے خون سے

اور صحیفے ہیں مہکے ہوئے خون سے

خون سے تر ہے دامن ہر اک خون کا

خون سب کی رگوں میں تو ہوگا ضرور

پھر بھی کیوں خون کا اتنا پیاسا ہے خون
