موسم گل یہ تری زرد صحافت کیسی
پھول معصوم ہیں پھولوں سے سیاست کیسی
اس نے دلدل کے قریں چھوڑ دی انگلی میری
خضر کہلاتا ہے کرتا ہے قیادت کیسی
جیسے اس بار ہواؤں میں لگی ہو دیمک
ہو رہی ہے مری سانسوں کی کفالت کیسی
میں جہاں بھی رہوں یہ ڈھونڈ نکالے گی مجھے
جانتا ہوں کہ ہے مٹی کی بصارت کیسی
چھن گئی مجھ سے ہر اک چیز الف سے یا تک
میرے ماضی نے یہ لکھی تھی وصیت کیسی
گر کوئی قتل نہیں کرتا ہے اندر سے مجھے
پھر مری پلکوں پہ اشکوں کی یہ میت کیسی
سنگ ہاتھوں میں لئے سوچ رہا ہوں خورشیدؔ
آئنے سے یہ نکل آئی رقابت کیسی

us ne daldal ke qarin chhoD di ungli meri
KHizr kahlata hai karta hai qayaadat kaisi
jaise is bar hawaon mein lagi ho dimak
ho rahi hai meri sanson ki kifalat kaisi
main jahan bhi rahun ye DhunD nikalegi mujhe
jaanta hun ki hai miTTi ki basarat kaisi
chhin gai mujh se har ek chiz alif se ya tak
mere mazi ne ye likkhi thi wasiyyat kaisi
gar koi qatl nahin karta hai andar se mujhe
phir meri palkon pe ashkon ki ye mayyat kaisi
sang hathon mein liye soch raha hun 'KHurshid'
aaine se ye nikal aai raqabat kaisi
