تو ہی تو نہیں پگھل رہا ہے

اپنا بھی لباس جل رہا ہے

میں چل بھی دیا ہوں تجھ سے مل کر

تو ہی کہ ابھی سنبھل رہا ہے

رونے کی تو کر رہا ہوں کوشش

موسم ہی نہیں بدل رہا ہے

دریا کے بدل رہے ہیں تیور

موجوں کا بھی رخ بدل رہا ہے

گھر اپنا ہے پھر یہ کیا ستم ہے

کہ حکم کسی کا چل رہا ہے

محفوظؔ دماغ آج اپنا

کچھ اور بھی تیز چل رہا ہے

apna bhi libas jal raha hai

main chal bhi diya hun tujh se mil kar
tu hi ki abhi sambhal raha hai

rone ki to kar raha hun koshish
mausam hi nahin badal raha hai

dariya ke badal rahe hain tewar
maujon ka bhi ruKH badal raha hai

ghar apna hai phir ye kya sitam hai
ki hukm kisi ka chal raha hai
