ترے بیاں میں حوالہ نہیں تو کچھ بھی نہیں

مرے وجود کا قصہ نہیں تو کچھ بھی نہیں

وہی سراپا وہی خال و خد وہی قامت

نیا بدن نیا چہرہ نہیں تو کچھ بھی نہیں

فلک کی سمت فقط دیکھنے سے کیا ہوگا

تری نگاہ میں زینہ نہیں تو کچھ بھی نہیں

اندھیروں اور اجالوں کا رقص باہم ہے

یہ روز و شب کا تماشہ نہیں تو کچھ بھی نہیں

شعور تیرہ زدہ اور منجمد احساس

دماغ و دل میں دریچہ نہیں تو کچھ بھی نہیں

زمیں پہ تیری حکومت ہے کو بہ کو لیکن

دلوں میں تیرا علاقہ نہیں تو کچھ بھی نہیں

نہ سر پہ گرد نہ چھالے ہیں پاؤں میں شاہدؔ

ترے سفر کا نتیجہ نہیں تو کچھ بھی نہیں

mere wajud ka qissa nahin to kuchh bhi nahin

wahi sarapa wahi KHal-o-KHad wahi qamat
naya badan naya chehra nahin to kuchh bhi nahin

falak ki samt faqat dekhne se kya hoga
teri nigah mein zina nahin to kuchh bhi nahin

andheron aur ujalon ka raqs-e-baham hai
ye roz-o-shab ka tamasha nahin to kuchh bhi nahin

shuur tira-zada aur munjamid ehsas
dimagh-o-dil mein daricha nahin to kuchh bhi nahin

zamin pe teri hukumat hai ku-ba-ku lekin
dilon mein tera ilaqa nahin to kuchh bhi nahin

na sar pe gard na chhaale hain panw mein 'shahid'
tere safar ka natija nahin to kuchh bhi nahin
