مت بیٹھ وقت نزع تو یاں اے حسیں بہت
الفت نہ کر تو آہ دم واپسیں بہت
یہ سچ کرے ہے ناز ہر اک نازنیں بہت
عاشق کشی کا چاؤ پہ دیکھا یہیں بہت
ہوتی ہے اس کے دیکھتے حالت مری تغیر
ہر چند میں سنبھالوں ہوں اپنے تئیں بہت
یہ کون جانے جھوٹ ہے یا سچ ولیک آج
اس کم سخن نے پیار کی باتیں تو کیں بہت
عشاق ہی کو غم نہیں معشوق کو بھی ہے
لیکن یہ فرق ہے کہیں تھوڑا کہیں بہت

aashiq-kushi ka chaw pa dekha yahin bahut
hoti hai us ke dekhte haalat meri taghir
har chand main sambhaalun hun apne tain bahut
ye kaun jaane jhuT hai ya sach wa-lek aaj
us kam-suKHan ne pyar ki baaten to kin bahut
ushshaq hi ko gham nahin mashuq ko bhi hai
lekin ye farq hai kahin thoDa kahin bahut
