چلے تو راہ میں چبھنے لگے تھے سناٹے
رکے تو شور سا اندر سنائی دیتا ہے
یہ کس نے رکھ دی ہے دفتر میں گھر کی خاموشی
جو گھر میں آئیں تو دفتر سنائی دیتا ہے
الگ سا شور جو اپنے ہی گھر میں سنتے ہو
نکل کے دیکھو تو گھر گھر سنائی دیتا ہے
مجھے وہ کیوں مری تنہائیوں میں ملتا ہے
وہ کون ہے مجھے اکثر سنائی دیتا ہے
وہ حدتیں ترے لہجے کی کیا ہوئیں آخر
ترے لبوں سے دسمبر سنائی دیتا ہے
تمام شہر سماعت کا جبر سہتا ہے
یہ کیسا شور برابر سنائی دیتا ہے
