شب جاگتے رہنے میں بھی نقصان نہیں ہے

رستہ وہ بدلنا ہی تھا ہم دونوں نے لیکن

حیرت تو یہی ہے کہ تو حیران نہیں ہے

کیوں خوف زدہ ہو گئے تم ایک گھٹا سے

میں نے تو بتایا تھا کہ طوفان نہیں ہے

پھر کون یہاں ایسا جو پہچانتا مجھ کو

جب تیرے سوا کوئی بھی پہچان نہیں ہے

شاہینؔ گو اجڑا ہوا رستہ تو ہے لیکن

یہ دل کی طرح گوشۂ ویران نہیں ہے
