آؤ کہیں شراب پئیں رات ہو گئی

پھر یوں ہوا کہ وقت کا پانسہ پلٹ گیا

امید جیت کی تھی مگر مات ہو گئی

سورج کو چونچ میں لیے مرغا کھڑا رہا

کھڑکی کے پردے کھینچ دیے رات ہو گئی

وہ آدمی تھا کتنا بھلا کتنا پرخلوص

اس سے بھی آج لیجے ملاقات ہو گئی

رستے میں وہ ملا تھا میں بچ کر گزر گیا

اس کی پھٹی قمیص مرے ساتھ ہو گئی

نقشہ اٹھا کے کوئی نیا شہر ڈھونڈیئے

اس شہر میں تو سب سے ملاقات ہو گئی
