ڈرا رہی تھی مجھے اور ڈر لیا میں نے

ڈرا رہی تھی مجھے اور ڈر لیا میں نے

پھر ایک روز محبت کا سر لیا میں نے

کسی سے مانگی مسلسل رسد اذیت کی

پھر اپنے سائے کو دیوار کر لیا میں نے

پہن رہے تھے کسی غم کا پیرہن کچھ لوگ

اگرچہ مہنگا پڑا مجھ کو پر لیا میں نے

بغیر اداسی مناسب نہیں تھا گھر جانا

یہ انتظام اسے چھو کے کر لیا میں نے

تمام ہو گئی مجھ پر کسی کی حجت دوست

جہاں نہیں تھا بپھرنا بپھر لیا میں نے

Dara rahi thi mujhe aur Dar liya main ne
phir ek roz mohabbat ka sar liya main ne

kisi se mangi musalsal rasad aziyyat ki
phir apne sae ko diwar kar liya main ne

pahan rahe the kisi gham ka pairahan kuchh log
agarche mahnga paDa mujh ko par liya main ne

baghair udasi munasib nahin tha ghar jaana
ye intizam use chhu ke kar liya main ne

tamam ho gai mujh par kisi ki hujjat dost
jahan nahin tha bipharna biphar liya main ne
