مرے نارسا تصور نے سراغ پا لیا ہے
میں پتا لگا چکا ہوں تو کہاں کہاں چھپا ہے
مجھے کون سربلندی کی طرف بلا رہا ہے
مرا نرگسی تخیل تو شکست کھا چکا ہے
تجھے قاتلوں کے نرغے سے چھڑائے گا نہ کوئی
یہ ہے مقتل اے مسافر تو کسے پکارتا ہے
سر شام جو غریبوں کے دیے بجھا رہی ہیں
انہیں سازشوں کا مرکز یہ تری محل سرا ہے
کوئی موسمی پرندوں سے کہے ادھر نہ آئیں
ابھی میرے گلستاں کی بڑی مضمحل فضا ہے
سن اے میری پیاری دنیا مری بے قرار دنیا
ترا درد مند شاعر ترے گیت گا رہا ہے
وہ بہ زعم خود گلستاں کا ہے سربراہ دوراںؔ
جو وہ چاہے سو کرے گا اسے کون روکتا ہے

mujhe kaun sar-bulandi ki taraf bula raha hai
mera nargisi taKHayyul to shikast kha chuka hai
tujhe qatilon ke narghe se chhuDaega na koi
ye hai maqtal ai musafir tu kise pukarta hai
sar-e-sham jo gharibon ke diye bujha rahi hain
unhin sazishon ka markaz ye teri mahal-sara hai
koi mausami parindon se kahe idhar na aaen
abhi mere gulistan ki baDi muzmahil faza hai
sun ai meri pyari duniya meri be-qarar duniya
tera dard-mand shair tere git ga raha hai
wo ba-zoam-e-KHud gulistan ka hai sarbarah 'dauran'
jo wo chahe so karega use kaun rokta hai
