بجھا لی پیاس جو اس نے رہا ندی کا نہیں

غرض کا اپنی سگا ہے وہ آدمی کا نہیں

عجیب چاہ ہے اس کی بھی دیکھیے تو ذرا

سبھی ہوں اس کے بھلے وہ ہوا کسی کا نہیں

خوشی میں اس کی نہ آئے نظر اداس کوئی

مگر اداسی میں اس کی گزر خوشی کا نہیں

میں اس کے چہرے پہ لوٹی ہوئی چمک کا گواہ

کہا جو دکھ ہے یہ میرا بھی ہے اسی کا نہیں
