تیشہ بدست

پرتپال سنگھ بیتاب

کب سے ان پہاڑوں کے سینے چیر چیر کر

ان کی رگیں کھوج کھوج کر

لعل و جواہر نکال رہا ہوں

ڈھیروں کے ڈھیر لگا رہا ہوں

بظاہر بہت خوش ہوں

کہ لعل و جواہر کے یہ انبار میں نے لگائے ہیں

بہ باطن البتہ اداس ہوں

کہ وہ لعل جس کی مجھے تلاش ہے

ہنوز میری دسترس سے پرے ہے

دراصل وہ پہاڑ ابھی تک

میری آنکھ سے اوجھل ہے

جس میں وہ رگ ہے

جس رگ میں اس لعل کے

ہونے کی امید ہے

kab se in pahaDon ke sine chir chir kar
in ki ragen khoj khoj kar
lal-o-jawahar nikal raha hun
Dheron ke Dher laga raha hun
ba-zahir bahut KHush hun
ki lal-o-jawahar ke ye ambar main ne lagae hain
ba-baatin albatta udas hun
ki wo lal jis ki mujhe talash hai
hanuz meri dastaras se pare hai
dar-asl wo pahaD abhi tak
meri aankh se ojhal hai
jis mein wo rag hai
jis rag mein is lal ke
hone ki ummid hai
