گزر جائے گی غم کی رات امیدو تو جاگ اٹھو

سنبھل جائیں گے دیوانے ستارو تم تو سو جاؤ

ہمیں روداد ہستی رات بھر میں ختم کرنی ہے

نہ چھیڑو اور افسانے ستارو تم تو سو جاؤ

ہمارے دیدۂ بے خواب کو تسکین کیا دو گے

ہمیں لوٹا ہے دنیا نے ستارو تم تو سو جاؤ

اسے قابلؔ کی چشم نم سے دیرینہ تعلق ہے
