اب یہ عالم ہے کہ غم کی بھی خبر ہوتی نہیں

اشک بہہ جاتے ہیں لیکن آنکھ تر ہوتی نہیں

پھر کوئی کم بخت کشتی نذر طوفاں ہو گئی

ورنہ ساحل پر اداسی اس قدر ہوتی نہیں

تیرا انداز تغافل ہے جنوں میں آج کل

چاک کر لیتا ہوں دامن اور خبر ہوتی نہیں

ہائے کس عالم میں چھوڑا ہے تمہارے غم نے ساتھ

جب قضا بھی زندگی کی چارہ گر ہوتی نہیں

رنگ محفل چاہتا ہے اک مکمل انقلاب

چند شمعوں کے بھڑکنے سے سحر ہوتی نہیں

اضطراب دل سے قابلؔ وہ نگاہ بے نیاز

بے خبر معلوم ہوتی ہے مگر ہوتی نہیں
