دل کی آگ کہاں لے جاتے جلتی بجھتی چھوڑ چلے

بنجاروں سے ڈرنے والو لو ہم اپنی بستی چھوڑ چلے

آگے آگے چیخ رہا ہے صحرا کا اک زرد سفر

دریا جانے ساحل جانے ہم تو کشتی چھوڑ چلے

مٹی کے انبار کے نیچے ڈوب گیا مستقبل بھی

دیواروں نے دیکھا ہوگا بچے تختی چھوڑ چلے

دنیا رکھے چاہے پھینکے یہ ہے پڑی زنبیل سخن

ہم نے جتنی پونجی جوڑی رتی رتی چھوڑ چلے

ساری عمر گنوا دی قیصرؔ دو گز مٹی ہاتھ لگی

کتنی مہنگی چیز تھی دنیا کتنی سستی چھوڑ چلے
