وہ مجھ سے پوچھتے پھرتے ہیں، ماجرا کیا ہے
بدن سے روح تلک جو کبھی نہ اترے ہوں
انہیں ہو کیسے خبر، اس میں ذائقہ کیا ہے
چلو صراحی اٹھائیں، گگن کے، پار چلیں
اگر نہیں، تو بتاؤ کہ مشورہ کیا ہے
چلو کہ پی لیں، کہیں چاند رات میں، جی لیں
وگرنہ دنیا میں، جینے کا فائدہ کیا ہے
ہر ایک مورچہ زن ہے کہ تجھ سا ہو احمد
نجانے کس کو خبر ہے کہ زائچہ کیا ہے
تمھارا نام سلامت ہے ہر حسیں لب پر
یہاں پہ تجھ کو امیری سے واسطہ کیا ہے
