کیا کہیں یہ جبر کیسا زندگی کے ساتھ ہے
ہم کسی کے ساتھ ہیں اور دل کسی کے ساتھ ہے
زندہ رکھنے کی روایت آستیں کے سانپ کی
اک نہ اک ہمدرد بھی ہر آدمی کے ساتھ ہے
اپنی اپنی مصلحت ہے اپنا اپنا ہے مفاد
ورنہ اس دنیا میں کب کوئی کسی کے ساتھ ہے
ہو چکی ہیں مشکلات راہ سب پر آشکار
اب جو میرے ساتھ ہے اپنی خوشی کے ساتھ
وضع داری کی قسم ہے شہر میں بس اک رئیسؔ
دیکھیے جب بھی اسے زندہ دلی کے ساتھ ہے

zinda rakhne ki riwayat aastin ke sanp ki
ek na ek hamdard bhi har aadmi ke sath hai
apni apni maslahat hai apna apna hai mafad
warna is duniya mein kab koi kisi ke sath hai
ho chuki hain mushkilat-e-rah sab par aashkar
ab jo mere sath hai apni KHushi ke sath
waza-dari ki qasam hai shahr mein bas ek 'rais'
dekhiye jab bhi use zinda-dili ke sath hai
