ہم کو اتنا ہی بس غنیمت ہے

نا سہی عشق پر عنایت ہے

دل کو انکار ہے محبت سے

اور اس کا سبب محبت ہے

ہم بھلے جان ہار بیٹھے ہوں

اس کو اک دوست کی ضرورت ہے

کچھ نہیں ہے گلہ ہمیں اس سے

زندگی سے بہت شکایت ہے

اپنی خاطر ذرا نہیں فرصت

اس کی خاطر بڑی فراغت ہے

اس غزل میں فقط ہے ہجر و وصال

اس میں کچھ بھی نہیں بلاغت ہے

hum ko itna hi bas ghanimat hai
na sahi ishq par inayat hai

dil ko inkar hai mohabbat se
aur is ka sabab mohabbat hai

hum bhale jaan haar baiThe hon
us ko ek dost ki zarurat hai

kuchh nahin hai gila hamein us se
zindagi se bahut shikayat hai

apni KHatir zara nahin fursat
us ki KHatir baDi faraghat hai

is ghazal mein faqat hai hijr-o-visal
is mein kuchh bhi nahin balaghat hai
