بہشت زار حسیں گل کدے میں رہتے تھے

بہشت زار حسیں گل کدے میں رہتے تھے
ہم ایک ساتھ کسی منطقے میں رہتے تھے
نہ جانے کون سے پل کا تھا انتظار ہمیں
نہ جانے کب سے ہم اک دوسرے میں رہتے تھے
یہیں کہیں تھے پریشان خواب کی صورت
کبھی تو نیند کبھی رت جگے میں رہتے تھے
بہت سی جھیلیں ترے چشم و لب سے ملتی تھیں
بہت سے پیڑ مرے راستے میں رہتے تھے
زمانوں بعد کہیں سامنا ہوا اپنا
سفر میں تھے مگر اک دائرے میں رہتے تھے
کہیں جگہ ہی نہیں تھی ہمیں سمانے کو
ہم اپنی ذات کے حیرت کدے میں رہتے تھے
ہماری روشنی تو ایک تھی وجود الگ
کہ دو چراغ تھے اک طاقچے میں رہتے تھے
یقین جان کہ اک دوسرے کا عکس تھے ہم
اور ایک ساتھ کسی آئنے میں رہتے تھے
عجیب گوشۂ تنہائی میں پڑا ہوا ہوں
تمام لوگ کبھی رابطے میں رہتے تھے

hum ek sath kisi mintaqe mein rahte the
na jaane kaun se pal ka tha intizar hamein
na jaane kab se hum ek dusre mein rahte the
yahin kahin the pareshan KHwab ki surat
kabhi to nind kabhi ratjage mein rahte the
bahut si jhilen tere chashm-o-lab se milti thin
bahut se peD mere raste mein rahte the
zamanon baad kahin samna hua apna
safar mein the magar ek daere mein rahte the
kahin jagah hi nahin thi hamein samane ko
hum apni zat ke hairat-kade mein rahte the
hamari raushni to ek thi wajud alag
ki do charagh the ek taqche mein rahte the
yaqin jaan ki ek dusre ka aks the hum
aur ek sath kisi aaine mein rahte the
ajib gosha-e-tanhai mein paDa hua hun
tamam log kabhi rabte mein rahte the
