دلوں سے ہوتی ہوئی روح تک اتر آئی

کسی کی یاد بھی آئی تو کس قدر آئی

تمام رات نہاتی رہی تھی بارش میں

تبھی تو اتنی چمکتی ہوئی سحر آئی

کسی نے دل کی کہانی سنائی کچھ ایسے

کہ لب خموش ہوئے اور آنکھ بھر آئی

تلاش کرتی رہی میں بھی چار سو اس کو

نگاہ وہ بھی مجھے ڈھونڈھتی نظر آئی

بہت دنوں میں ہوئی دل پہ پھر وہی دستک

بہت دنوں میں صباؔ اپنی کچھ خبر آئی

kisi ki yaad bhi aai to kis qadar aai

tamam raat nahati rahi thi barish mein
tabhi to itni chamakti hui sahar aai

kisi ne dil ki kahani sunai kuchh aise
ki lab KHamosh hue aur aankh bhar aai

talash karti rahi main bhi chaar-su us ko
nigah wo bhi mujhe DhunDhti nazar aai

bahut dinon mein hui dil pe phir wahi dastak
bahut dinon mein 'saba' apni kuchh KHabar aai
