سوہنی اور مہیوال کا ماتم

بن گئی ہستی ساحر کا غم

کون بنے امرتا پریتم

لہو لہو سولی پر ایسی

گریاں گریاں گھر گھر مریم

جلنے لگا پھر ہیروشیما

کس ظالم نے پھینکا ایٹم

پونچھے کون اب اشکؔ کے آنسو

دور ہے دامن عصمت خانم
