ہاں ہمیں میرؔ کا دیوان نہیں ہونا ہے

ہاں ہمیں میرؔ کا دیوان نہیں ہونا ہے

آپ سے مل کے پریشان نہیں ہونا ہے

ہم کہ خود اپنے لیے اپنی انا سے کھیلیں

ان کی تفریح کا سامان نہیں ہونا ہے

خیریت چاہنے والو میں تری یاد کا ذکر

بھری محفل میں بیابان نہیں ہونا ہے

لاکھ امید کھلاتی رہے آنکھوں میں گلاب

اس سمندر کو گلستاں نہیں ہونا ہے

خاک دل سے ہی اٹھے اب کے غبار مہتاب

آسماں سے کوئی اعلان نہیں ہونا ہے

aap se mil ke pareshan nahin hona hai

hum ki KHud apne liye apni ana se khelen
un ki tafrih ka saman nahin hona hai

KHairiyat chahne walo mein teri yaad ka zikr
bhari mahfil mein bayaban nahin hona hai

lakh ummid khilati rahe aankhon mein gulab
is samundar ko gulistan nahin hona hai

KHak-e-dil se hi uThe ab ke ghubar-e-mahtab
