آنکھ کی یہ ایک حسرت تھی کہ بس پوری ہوئی

آنسوؤں میں بھیگ جانے کی ہوس پوری ہوئی

آ رہی ہے جسم کی دیوار گرنے کی صدا

اک عجب خواہش تھی جو اب کے برس پوری ہوئی

اس خزاں آثار لمحے کی حکایت ہے یہی

اک گل نا آفریدہ کی ہوس پوری ہوئی

آگ کے شعلوں سے سارا شہر روشن ہو گیا

ہو مبارک آرزوئے خار و خس پوری ہوئی

کیسی دستک تھی کہ دروازے مقفل ہو گئے

اور اس کے ساتھ روداد قفس پوری ہوئی
