نشاط غم بھی ملا رنج شاد مانی بھی

مگر وہ لمحے بہت مختصر تھے فانی بھی

کھلی ہے آنکھ کہاں کون موڑ ہے یارو

دیار خواب کی باقی نہیں نشانی بھی

رگوں میں ریت کی اک اور تہ جمی دیکھو

کہ پہلے جیسی نہیں خون میں روانی بھی

بھٹک رہے ہیں تعاقب میں اب سرابوں کے

ملا نہ جن کو سمندر سے بوند پانی بھی

زمیں بھی ہم سے بہت دور ہوتی جاتی ہے

ڈرا رہی ہے خلاؤں کی بیکرانی بھی

طویل ہونے لگی ہیں اسی لیے راتیں

کہ لوگ سنتے سناتے نہیں کہانی بھی
