یہ جگہ اہل جنوں اب نہیں رہنے والی

فرصت عشق میسر کہاں پہلے والی

کوئی دریا ہو کہیں جو مجھے سیراب کرے

ایک حسرت ہے جو پوری نہیں ہونے والی

وقت کوشش کرے میں چاہوں مگر یاد تری

دھندلی ہو سکتی ہے دل سے نہیں مٹنے والی

اب مرے خوابوں کی باری ہے یہی لگتا ہے

نیند تو چھن چکی کب کی مرے حصے والی

ان دنوں میں بھی ہوں کچھ کار جہاں میں مصروف

بات تجھ میں بھی نہیں رہ گئی پہلے والی
