عاشقی صبر طلب ہے تمہیں معلوم نہیں
غم زدہ ہوں میں مگر تم سا تو مغموم نہیں
انس ہو ملنا ملانا ہو مگر رنج نہ ہوں
جاؤ معلوم تمہیں عشق کا مفہوم نہیں
دیتا پھرتا ہے زمانے کو تو ایام مگر
لمحہ کوئی بھی مرے نام سے موسوم نہیں
چہرہ چاہت میں نظر آئے جو اکثر ہی تمہیں
وہ پری چہرہ تو ہو سکتا ہے معصوم نہیں
ٹھگ ہے دنیا یہ لے لیتی ہے سبھی مال یہاں
اور بھی مظلوم ہیں تو پہلا سا مظلوم نہیں
نقش چہرے کے تو بدلے ہیں محبت نے سبھی
حیراں ہوں دوست ہوا کیسے میں معدوم نہیں

uns ho milna milana ho magar ranj na hon
jao ma'lum tumhein ishq ka mafhum nahin
deta phirta hai zamane ko to ayyam magar
lamha koi bhi mere nam se mausum nahin
chehra chahat mein nazar aae jo aksar hi tumhein
wo pari-chehra to ho sakta hai masum nahin
Thag hai duniya ye le leti hai sabhi mal yahan
aur bhi mazlum hain tu pahla sa mazlum nahin
naqsh chehre ke to badle hain mohabbat ne sabhi
hairan hun dost hua kaise main madum nahin
