کچھ نئے شہروں کے دکھ بھی ہیں سنانے کے لئے
اس طرح تیزی سے بھاگا جا رہا ہے ہر کوئی
جیسے چھپنا ہو کہیں خود کو بچانے کے لئے
ایک لمحے کے لئے بھی خود سے ہم نہ مل سکے
زندگی تھی شہر والوں کو دکھانے کے لئے
تھی خبر سستی ملے گی آج نفرت اس جگہ
خلق ٹوٹی ہے مقدر آزمانے کے لئے
کون سنتا تھا نگر کے شور میں دھیمی صدا
دل سے اٹھتی تھیں نوائیں ڈوب جانے کے لئے

thi KHabar sasti milegi aaj nafrat us jagah
KHalq TuTi hai muqaddar aazmane ke liye
kaun sunta tha nagar ke shor mein dhimi sada
dil se uThti thin nawaen Dub jaane ke liye
