وہ پشیمان کب ہوئے پہلے
اس میں کوئی نہیں ہے انہونی
پورے ارمان کب ہوئے پہلے
عشق معذور ہے مشقت سے
ہم تھے ہلکان کب ہوئے پہلے
جیسے مجھ کو غموں نے لوٹا ہے
ایسے مہمان کب ہوئے پہلے
آزمائش ہے یہ محبت کی
حادثے جان کب ہوئے پہلے
یہ بھی داؤ نہ ان کا ہو کوئی
ایسے نادان کب ہوئے پہلے
دشت آباد تو نہیں پھر بھی
اتنے ویران کب ہوئے پہلے
حکم اس کا ہے میری بابت کچھ
