یہ کسے تھی خبر دل لگانے کے بعد
غم بھی مل جائیں گے مسکرانے کے بعد
کس جہاں میں خدا جانے وہ کھو گئے
مجھ کو اک بار صورت دکھانے کے بعد
جان پایا ہوں میں وہ ہے پتھر جگر
اپنی آنکھوں سے آنسو بہانے کے بعد
بس چلا ہے تصور پہ کس کا بھلا
یاد وہ اور آئے بھلانے کے بعد
ظلم سہتا ہوں کوچے میں یہ سوچ کر
گھر نہیں دوسرا اس ٹھکانے کے بعد
خاص فطرت حسینوں کی ہے دوستوں
وہ کریں ترک الفت نبھانے کے بعد
جو تھے اپنے کبھی ہو گئے غیر وہ
ان کو تصدیقؔ اپنا بنانے کے بعد
آنکھ میری نہ یوں دیکھ کر بھر گئی
آج دیکھا ہے اس کو زمانے کے بعد

gham bhi mil jaenge muskurane ke ba'd
kis jahan mein KHuda jaane wo kho gae
mujh ko ek bar surat dikhane ke ba'd
jaan paya hun main wo hai patthar-jigar
apni aankhon se aansu bahane ke ba'd
bas chala hai tasawwur pe kis ka bhala
yaad wo aur aae bhulane ke ba'd
zulm sahta hun kuche mein ye soch kar
ghar nahin dusra is Thikane ke ba'd
KHas fitrat hasinon ki hai doston
wo karen tark-e-ulfat nibhane ke ba'd
jo the apne kabhi ho gae ghair wo
un ko 'tasdiq' apna banane ke ba'd
aankh meri na yun dekh kar bhar gai
aaj dekha hai us ko zamane ke ba'd
