ضرورت کے مطابق تو سہارے لازمی ہوں گے

اگر دریا بنانا ہو، کنارے لازمی ہوں گے

یہ کاروبارِ الفت ہے یہاں دل کو بڑا رکھنا

محبت کی تجارت میں خسارے لازمی ہوں گے

یہ مانا ہے کہ اک دنیا تمہارے ساتھ چلتی ہے

مگر کچھ لوگ دنیا میں ہمارے لازمی ہوں گے

اگر تم روشنی چاہو ، چلو پھر ساتھ چلتے ہیں

فلک پر چاند ہو نا ہو ستارے لازمی ہوں گے

وہ جس تکیے کے نیچے سے مری تصویر ملتی تھی

کسی نے خواب اس تکیے پہ وارے لازمی ہوں گے

جہاں ہم روز ملتے تھے وہاں کچھ پل فراغت کے

اکیلے بیٹھ کر اس نے گزارے لازمی ہوں گے

یہ طے تم نے ہی کرنا ہے کہ تم کس سمت جاؤ گے

سفر میں ہر جگہ صائم اشارے لازمی ہوں گے
