چلو اچھا ہے یاں اس کا امکاں بھی نہیں

کون اس محلے میں بسنے کی جستجو کرے

میں کیسے رخصت کرتا اسے خوشیاں دے کر

میرے شہر میں تو پھولوں کی دکاں بھی نہیں

اسے مطلوب تھا انساں نما فرشتہ

اور میں تو انساں نما انساں بھی نہیں

جو گمان تھا وہ گمان ہی رہا

اب گمان یہ ہے کہ گماں بھی نہیں
