حقیقت ہے الفت حکایت نہیں ہے

مگر اب تو کچھ اس میں راحت نہیں ہے

ذرا تم نگاہیں اٹھا کر تو دیکھو

اگر دیکھنے میں خباثت نہیں ہے

نگاہوں سے ایسی ہمیں تم نہ دیکھو

مچلتا ہے دل گو محبت نہیں ہے

کسی ناز نیں پر دلوں کا یہ آنا

ہے سودا دلوں کا یہ الفت نہیں ہے

لگا دل کہیں پر ہے بوسہ کسی کو

یہ عریاں خیالی شرافت نہیں ہے

بظاہر ہو میرے حقیقت ہے کچھ اور

یہ دھوکا دھڑی ہے دیانت نہیں ہے
