چھوٹی چھوٹی باتوں پہ اکثر تکرار ہو جاتا ہے

خلوت میں پڑے رہتے ہو مرنا چاہتے ہو کیا

تنہا رہنے سے بندہ ذہنی بیمار ہو جاتا ہے

تم ہر شخص کو لوٹ لیتے ہو مسکرا کر مگر

ہم جس سے وفا کرتے ہیں وہ غدار ہو جاتا ہے

ہم کو بے وجہ یاد آ کر بے چین کرتے ہو تم

دیکھو ایسی حالت میں جینا دشوار ہو جاتا ہے

ہم جس شخص کو چاہتے ہیں حاصل نہیں ہوتا ہے

تم جس کو بھی چھو لو وہ تمہیں درکار ہو جاتا ہے

میں کہتا رہوں چیخ کر بھی تو کوئی سنتا نہیں

تم جو بات کہہ دو وہ کل کا اخبار ہو جاتا ہے

تم گل زیب فنکار کہہ لو یا پھر عجوبہ کوئی

وہ جو کام بھی کرتا ہے وہ شہکار ہو جاتا ہے
