بات کرتے ہیں مگر بات کہاں ہوتی ہے

بات کرتے ہیں مگر بات کہاں ہوتی ہے

اس سے مل کر بھی ملاقات کہاں ہوتی ہے

اپنے حصے کا دیا لے کے تو نکلو گھر سے

یارو! اتنی بھی سیہ رات کہاں ہوتی ہے

وہ تو انؐ پر ہے کہ کس کو یہ شرف حاصل ہو

ایرے غیرے سے بھلا نعت کہاں ہوتی ہے

لہجہ پر سوز بھی ہو، جرأتِ اظہار بھی ہو

لفظ گونگے ہوں تو حق بات کہاں ہوتی ہے

خونِ دل دے کے جنہیں سینچا گیا ہو دائمؔؔ

ایسی صبحوں کی بھلا رات کہاں ہوتی ہے
