بستی میں کوئی دل وہ سلامت نہیں رکھتا

بستی میں کوئی دل وہ سلامت نہیں رکھتا

اور کہتا ہے، آنکھیں بھی قیامت نہیں رکھتا

وہ شخص ہر آنکھ میں ہے خواب کی مانند

اور کوئی بھی اسے در حقیقت نہیں رکھتا

چار قدم چلنے کی طاقت نہیں مجھ میں

ستم یہ کہ سہارے کی عادت نہیں رکھتا

سوچوں تو لگتا ہے وہ شخص میرا ہی

دیکھوں تو ایسی بھی علامت نہیں رکھتا

محبت اک جزبہ نہیں، مزہب ہےمیرے دوست

اور مزہب بھی ایسا جو شریعت نہیں رکھتا

جو ہوا ہے، وہ ہونا تھا، ہو جانا تھا

میں بیت گئیں راتوں پے ندامت نہیں رکھتا

چمن میں کوئی موسم سے عداوت نہیں رکھتا

اور موسم ہے کہ اک پیڑ سلامت نہیں رکھتا

میں یوسف ہوں اس بار خریدار، سو اب

وہ آئے جسے دعوی ہے کہ، قیمت نہیں رکھتا
