ظہیرؔ دہلوی

دل گیا دل کا نشاں باقی رہا

دل کی جا درد نہاں باقی رہا

کون زیر آسماں باقی رہا

نیک ناموں کا نشاں باقی رہا

ہو لیے دنیا کے پورے کاروبار

اور اک خواب گراں باقی رہا

رفتہ رفتہ چل بسے دل کے مکیں

اب فقط خالی مکاں باقی رہا

چل دیے سب چھوڑ کر اہل جہاں

اور رہنے کو جہاں باقی رہا

کارواں منزل پہ پہنچا عمر کا

اب غبار کارواں باقی رہا

مل گئے مٹی میں کیا کیا مہ جبیں

سب کو کھا کر آسماں باقی رہا

مٹ گئے بن بن کے کیا قصر و محل

نام کو اک لا مکاں باقی رہا

آرزو ہی آرزو میں مٹ گئے

اور شوق آستاں باقی رہا

عیش و عشرت چل بسے دل سے ظہیرؔ

درد و غم بہر نشاں باقی رہا
