ساقیا مر کے اٹھیں گے ترے مے خانے سے

عہد و پیماں ہیں یہی زیست میں پیمانے سے

تو کہاں آئی مرا درد بٹانے کے لیے

اے شب ہجر نکل جا مرے غم خانے سے

کون ہوتا ہے مصیبت میں کسی کا دل سوز

اٹھ گئی شمع بھی جل کر مرے کاشانے سے

کچھ یہی کوہ کن و قیس پہ گزری ہوگی

ملتی جلتی ہے کہانی مرے افسانے سے

جبہ فرسائے در کعبہ تھے کل تک تو ظہیرؔ

گرتے پڑتے ہوئے آج آتے ہیں میخانے سے
