چل تہہ آب ہو کے دیکھتے ہیں

اس پہ اتنا یقین ہے ہم کو

رات کو رات ہو کے جانا تھا

خواب کو خواب ہو کے دیکھتے ہیں

اپنی ارزانیوں کے صدقے ہم

خود کو نایاب ہو کے دیکھتے ہیں

ساحلوں کی نظر میں آنا ہے

پھر تو غرقاب ہو کے دیکھتے ہیں

وہ جو پایاب کہہ رہا تھا ہمیں

اس کو سیلاب ہو کے دیکھتے ہیں
