غزل کو چاند کا محبوب لکھنا
شعور زندگی عنقا ہے لیکن
سفر کے ذائقے مرغوب لکھنا
ہماری فکر پر کہرے سجانا
متاع ذہن کو مصلوب لکھنا
جہاں ظلمت کے پہرے ہر قدم ہوں
ہمارے شہر سے منسوب لکھنا
پلانا زہر پیمانے بدل کر
درون میکدہ مشروب لکھنا
تم اپنے رو بہ رو آئینہ رکھ کے
کسی ہمسائے کو مجذوب لکھنا
ترا لہجہ ہے نشترؔ احتجاجی
پروں پر تتلیوں کے خوب لکھنا

pilana zahr paimane badal kar
darun-e-mai-kada mashrub likhna
tum apne ru-ba-ru aaina rakh ke
kisi hamsae ko majzub likhna
tera lahja hai 'nashtar' ehtajaji
