علم بھی آزار لگتا ہے مجھے

آدمی اخبار لگتا ہے مجھے

چیختی سڑکیں دھواں پٹرول بو

شہر تو بیمار لگتا ہے مجھے

اس قدر محفوظ رہتا ہے کہ وہ

رام کا اوتار لگتا ہے مجھے

روز نظمیں کہنا چھپوانا کہیں

ایک کاروبار لگتا ہے مجھے

شاعری اچھی بری معلوم ہے

باقی سب بے کار لگتا ہے مجھے
