عجیب رزق خواب ہے زمین کے لیے نہیں

خیال جو قدم کشا ہے تیرے لا شعور میں

غزال ہے مگر سبکتگین کے لیے نہیں

ہوائیں گوش بر صدا ہیں کس کے باب میں خموش

نہیں دیے کی آیۂ مبین کے لیے نہیں

اسے چھپاؤ کشتگاں کے دل میں راز کی طرح

یہ تیغ آب دار آستین کے لیے نہیں

میں ایک بوڑھے فلسفی کے خواب کا امین ہوں

مرے لبوں کی ساخت انگبین کے لیے نہیں

کمند کو کمان کو ابھی سے تہہ نہ کیجئے

کہ یہ شکار کے لیے ہیں زین کے لیے نہیں

جو تیر اڑ چلا ہے وہ مرے لیے ہے شہریارؔ

یسار کے لیے نہیں یمین کے لیے نہیں
