تو ایک پل میں مرا شہسوار دیکھئے گا

میں ایک بار اسے پھیروں گا اپنی گردن پر

اور آپ بس مرے خنجر کی دھار دیکھئے گا

کسی کا نقش نہیں باندھئے گا آنکھوں میں

جسے بھی دیکھیے آئینہ وار دیکھئے گا

کبھی نہ لوٹ کے آئیں گے آپ جانتا ہوں

پر آئیے تو مرا انتظار دیکھئے گا

نہ دستکیں نہ صدا کون در پہ آیا ہے

فقیر شہر ہے یا شہریار دیکھئے گا
