مرے بچے جوان ہو گئے ہیں
امۃ الحئی وفا
جو میری گود میں پل کر جوان ہو گئے ہیں
مرے سفینے کے اب بادبان ہو گئے ہیں
وہ جن پہ نیل ابھرتے تھے ہاتھ لگتے ہی
وہ پھول جیسے بدن اب چٹان ہو گئے ہیں
وہ جن کو سینچا تھا میں نے اب ان کے سائے میں ہوں
کہ اب وہ ننھے شجر سائبان ہو گئے ہیں
وہ دیکھ بھال میں جن کی گزر گئی مری عمر
خدا کا شکر مرے پاسبان ہو گئے ہیں
جو چند پھول مہکتے تھے میرے آنگن میں
خوشا نصیب وہ خود گلستاں ہو گئے ہیں
نہیں جھکے ہوئے شانوں کا اب مجھے کوئی غم
خدا رکھے مرے بچے جوان ہو گئے ہیں
نہ پڑنا اپنے پرائے میں تم مرے بچو
تباہ اس سے بہت خاندان ہو گئے ہیں
وہ جن کی فکر میں رہتی تھی میں وفاؔ بے چین
غم و خوشی کے مرے ترجمان ہو گئے ہیں

wo dekh-bhaal mein jin ki guzar gai meri umr
KHuda ka shukr mere pasban ho gae hain
jo chand phul mahakte the mere aangan mein
KHusha nasib wo KHud gulistan ho gae hain
nahin jhuke hue shanon ka ab mujhe koi gham
KHuda rakhe mere bachche jawan ho gae hain
na paDna apne parae mein tum mere bachcho
tabah is se bahut KHandan ho gae hain
wo jin ki fikr mein rahti thi main 'wafa' bechain
gham-o-KHushi ke mere tarjuman ho gae hain
