بجھی نہیں ابھی یہ پیاس بھی غنیمت ہے

بجھی نہیں ابھی یہ پیاس بھی غنیمت ہے
زباں پہ کانٹوں کا احساس بھی غنیمت ہے
رواں ہے سانس کی کشتی اسی کے دھارے پر
یہ ایک ٹوٹی ہوئی آس بھی غنیمت ہے
نشاں نمو کے ہیں کچھ تو بساط صحرا پر
جھلستی جلتی ہوئی گھاس بھی غنیمت ہے
پھر اس کے بعد تمہاری شناخت کیا ہوگی
روایتوں کی یہ بو باس بھی غنیمت ہے
وہ اب بھی ملتا ہے اپنی ادائے خاص کے ساتھ
کہ وضع داری کا یہ پاس بھی غنیمت ہے

rawan hai sans ki kashti isi ke dhaare par
ye ek TuTi hui aas bhi ghanimat hai
nishan numu ke hain kuchh to bisat-e-sahra par
jhulasti jalti hui ghas bhi ghanimat hai
phir is ke baad tumhaari shanaKHt kya hogi
riwayaton ki ye bu-bas bhi ghanimat hai
wo ab bhi milta hai apni ada-e-KHas ke sath
ki waza-dari ka ye pas bhi ghanimat hai
