کیسۂ درویش میں جو بھی ہے زر اتنا ہی ہے
اور دیکھا جائے تو مجھ کو خطر اتنا ہی ہے
پاؤں رکھنے کے لیے کوئی جگہ تو چاہیئے
شہر کے اس باب میں میرا گزر اتنا ہی ہے
میں جہاں پہنچا نہیں ایسے بھی ویرانے بتا
دوست اپنا رشتۂ دیوار و در اتنا ہی ہے
ایک مشت خاک یہ اور وہ ہوائے تند و تیز
اور ترا احسان میری ذات پر اتنا ہی ہے
اس گلی سے اس گلی تک دوڑتا رہتا ہوں میں
رات اتنی ہی میسر ہے سفر اتنا ہی ہے

panw rakhne ke liye koi jagah to chahiye
shahr ke is bab mein mera guzar utna hi hai
main jahan pahuncha nahin aise bhi virane bata
dost apna rishta-e-diwar-o-dar utna hi hai
ek musht-e-KHak ye aur wo hawa-e-tund-o-tez
aur tera ehsan meri zat par utna hi hai
is gali se us gali tak dauDta rahta hun main
raat utni hi mayassar hai safar utna hi hai
