نہیں وہ کھول کر لب بولتا ہے

نہیں وہ کھول کر لب بولتا ہے
یہ اس کا کون سا ڈھب بولتا ہے
وہ محو گفتگو یوں ہے کہ جیسے
کسی بچے سے مکتب بولتا ہے
ملے چپ چاپ تو اپنی سناؤں
وہ سنتا ہی نہیں جب بولتا ہے
کہوں کیسے ہے اس کی ذات مفرد
وہ ہر جملہ مرکب بولتا ہے
کتاب اک ایسی ہم کھولے ہوئے ہیں
ہمارے دو بدو رب بولتا ہے
مرے اندر ہے زندہ ایک شاعر
کبھی چپ تھا مگر اب بولتا ہے
مبلغ بدرؔ ہے دین سخن کا
سنو کیا اس کا مذہب بولتا ہے

kisi bachche se maktab bolta hai
mile chup-chap to apni sunaun
wo sunta hi nahin jab bolta hai
kahun kaise hai us ki zat mufrad
wo har jumla murakkab bolta hai
kitab ek aisi hum khole hue hain
hamare du-badu rab bolta hai
mere andar hai zinda ek shair
kabhi chup tha magar ab bolta hai
muballigh 'badr' hai din-e-suKHan ka
suno kya us ka mazhab bolta hai
