جس کی نظر میں کام یہ آسان تھا بہت
سوچا تو بے خلوص تھیں سب اس کی قربتیں
جس کے بغیر گھر مرا ویران تھا بہت
بے خواب سرخ آنکھوں نے سب کچھ بتا دیا
کل رات دل میں درد کا طوفان تھا بہت
یہ کیا کیا کہ پیار کا اظہار کر دیا
میں اپنی اس شکست پہ حیران تھا بہت
وحشت میں کیوں کسی کے گریباں کو دیکھتا
میرے لیے تو اپنا گریبان تھا بہت
اب تو کوئی تمنا ہی باقیؔ نہیں رہی
یہ شہر آرزو کبھی گنجان تھا بہت

be-KHwab surKH aankhon ne sab kuchh bata diya
kal raat dil mein dard ka tufan tha bahut
ye kya kiya ki pyar ka izhaar kar diya
main apni is shikast pe hairan tha bahut
wahshat mein kyun kisi ke gareban ko dekhta
mere liye to apna gareban tha bahut
ab to koi tamanna hi 'baqi' nahin rahi
ye shahr-e-arzu kabhi gunjaan tha bahut
