فانی بدایونی

قصۂ زیست مختصر کرتے

کچھ تو اپنی سی چارہ گر کرتے

موت کی نیند سو گئے بیمار

روز کس شام کو سحر کرتے

سچ ہے ہر نالہ کیوں رسا ہوتا

میرے نالے تھے کیوں اثر کرتے

خود وفا کیا وفا کا بدلہ کیا

لطف احسان تھا اگر کرتے

کر لیا تیرے نام پر سجدہ

اب کہاں قصد سنگ در کرتے

آس ہوتی تو اس سہارے پر

صبر ممکن نہ تھا مگر کرتے

کاش آئینہ ہاتھ سے رکھ کر

تم مرے حال پر نظر کرتے

طول روداد غم معاذ اللہ

عمر گزری ہے مختصر کرتے

غم نے مہلت نہ دی کہ ہم فانیؔ

اور کچھ دن ابھی بسر کرتے

فانی بدایونی
