حسیب سوز

ذرا سی چوٹ لگی تھی کہ چلنا بھول گئے

شریف لوگ تھے گھر سے نکلنا بھول گئے

تری امید پہ شاید نہ اب کھرے اتریں

ہم اتنی بار بجھے ہیں کہ جلنا بھول گئے

تمہیں تو علم تھا بستی کے لوگ کیسے ہیں

تم اس کے بعد بھی کپڑے بدلنا بھول گئے

ہمیں تو چاند ستاروں کو رسوا کرنا تھا

سو جان بوجھ کے اک روز ڈھلنا بھول گئے

حسیبؔ سوز جو رسی کے پل پہ چلتے تھے

پڑا وہ وقت کہ سڑکوں پہ چلنا بھول گئے

sharif log the ghar se nikalna bhul gae

teri umid pe shayad na ab khare utren
hum itni bar bujhe hain ki jalna bhul gae

tumhein to ilm tha basti ke log kaise hain
tum is ke baad bhi kapDe badalna bhul gae

hamein to chand sitaron ko ruswa karna tha
so jaan-bujh ke ek roz Dhalna bhul gae
